Why a mat?
Carp go back, and they must go back unharmed: the mat protects scales and slime from stones and sand.
How many rods?
Two or three on a pod with alarms: one person can't manage more.
How much bait?
For 24 hours, 3–5 kg of boilies and pellets plus loose feed. Baiting the spot is half the job.
