Feeder fishing is a workstation on the bank: rod rest, feeders in several weights, groundbait and a chair, because you'll sit for a while. A beginner's list with reasons.

Check the forecast for your water
The day list is built from weather, ice and the fish that bite. Open your water's forecast — the “What to bring” card is there.

How much groundbait?
2–3 kg of dry mix per session, mixed with water from the venue. More, with soil, on current.
Which feeders?
Three weights for current: 40, 60 and 80 g for rivers; 20–40 g for still water. Wind and flow change through the day.
Do I need a keepnet?
Only if you keep fish. Otherwise release straight away — less stress for the fish and for you.
