Check the forecast for your water
The day list is built from weather, ice and the fish that bite. Open your water's forecast — the “What to bring” card is there.

A hook past the barb?
Don't pull. Cut the shank or the barb with cutters if it's through, rinse with antiseptic, cover. Deep or near a joint — see a doctor.
Against ticks?
Permethrin repellent on clothing, a check every couple of hours, a tick remover in the kit. Keep the tick in a jar for testing.
Which medicines are essential?
Antihistamine, painkiller, antiseptic, plasters and bandage, your own regular medication with a spare.
