From what age?
When they can sit still for an hour — usually 4–5. Keep the first trips short, on fish that bite often.
Life jacket on the bank?
Yes: a child by the water is a child in the water a minute later. Sized by weight, fastened.
What against boredom?
A net, a bucket, a book, snacks. Their own small rod — even if you do the fishing.
