Река Айдар протянулась почти на 61 километр по Белгородской области и впадает в Северский Донец, входящий в бассейн Дона. Этот водный поток проходит совсем рядом с городом Ровеньки, всего в нескольких сотнях метров, что делает её довольно доступной для выезда. Айдар не только несёт свои воды в крупный речной бассейн, но и сохраняет свой характер — среднеречный, с живой динамикой и природным окружением.
На Айдаре клюёт разнообразная рыба: щука и сом – классические хищники, которые любят прятаться в корягах и искать добычу, язь и жерех часто охотятся на открытых участках, а налим предпочитает затаиться в глубоких ямах. Уклейка, плотва и ёрш придают рыбалке живую активность, особенно в тёплое время года. Ловля здесь может быть разнообразной — от азартной охоты за хищником до спокойного ужения мирной рыбы.
