Расположено оно сравнительно недалеко от города Рошаль — всего около 16,5 километров, так что дорога не займет много времени. Его масштаб и разнообразие водных обитателей придают озеру характерный облик, привлекающий рыболовов, готовых разнообразить летний отдых.
На Долгом можно рассчитывать на разнообразие рыб: здесь обитают щука и жерех — классические хищники, которые не дадут заскучать, а также сом и налим, придающие ловле серьезности.
