Шарангский водохранилище расположено неподалёку от поселка Шаранга в Нижегородской области. С площадью около 30 гектаров, оно не слишком большое, но достаточно заметное на местной карте. Вода здесь сливается с речным бассейном, что добавляет разнообразия в обитателей водоёма и делает его интересным для любителей рыбалки, не уезжая далеко от населённого пункта.
На Шарангском водохранилище можно встретить щуку и жереха — классических хищников, которые любят активную охоту, а также язя и налима, предпочитающих разные условия ловли. Есть плотва и уклейка, которые часто становятся добычей на матчевую или легкую поплавочную снасть. Наличие сома и ерша добавляет разнообразия в улов и подчеркивает естественное богатство водоёма.
