Река Паньжа протянулась почти на 28 километров по Пензенской области и впадает в Мокшу, которая, в свою очередь, относится к большому бассейну Волги. Несмотря на сравнительно небольшой размер, Паньжа привлекает своим спокойным течением и близостью к Наровчату — всего чуть меньше восьми километров до города. Этот участок региона ценен тем, что здесь можно почувствовать настоящую речную атмосферу без суеты крупных городов.
