Старица — озеро площадью 84 гектаров в Рязанской области, находится всего в 15 километрах от Шилово. Его размер и расположение делают его достаточно заметной водной гладью в округе, где можно сменить городской шум на шум воды и природы. Летом и в межсезонье здесь спокойно, можно оценить простор и разнообразие водной жизни.
Рыбалка на Старице разнообразна: здесь водятся и щука с её агрессивным хищным нравом, и сом — любитель ночных вылазок. Язь и жерех добавляют динамики ловле, а уклейка и плотва поддерживают активность рыбьих стай. Налим и ёрш обеспечивают дополнительные варианты, если хочется разной тактики и снастей.
