Река Барыш протянулась почти на 165 километров по Ульяновской области и впадает в Суру, которая, в свою очередь, относится к большому бассейну Волги. Рядом с рекой расположены города Карсун и Барыш, что делает её вполне доступной для выездов на рыбалку. Масштабы реки впечатляют – она достаточно длинная, чтобы сменять характер течения и создавать интересные участки для ловли.
Рыбалка на Барыше предлагает разнообразие: здесь обитают щука – известный охотник среди пресноводных, сом, который любит глубокие ямы, язь и жерех, предпочитающие активное течение.
