Большая Курица — река длиной 42 километра в Курской области, впадающая в Сейм, который в свою очередь принадлежит бассейну Десны. Она протекает недалеко от Прямицыно и всего в нескольких десятках километров от Курска и Курчатова, что делает её доступной для рыбалки вблизи городов. Местные масштабы приятны для прогулок и изучения береговой линии, а сама река чувствует себя уверенно среди окружающих водных путей.
По Большой Курице можно охотиться за разнообразной рыбой: от активного жереха до привычной плотвы и уклейки. Встречается и налим, что добавляет интереса зимним рыбакам, а щука и сом — классика для любителей хищника. Ерш и язь дополняют ассортимент, создавая возможность подловить что-то разное. Рыбалка здесь живой процесс — хищники и мирная рыба держатся в своих обычных местах, так что можно подстроиться под настроение и попробовать разные подходы.
