Река Олым протянулась почти на 89 километров по Липецкой области и впадает в Быструю Сосну, которая входит в бассейн великого Дона. Рядом с ней находятся небольшие города Тербуны и Долгоруково — примерно в 13 и 18 километрах соответственно. Этот размер реки дает ощущение настоящей природной артерии, которая не устает течь среди местных пейзажей, сохраняя свой характер и динамику.
Рыбалка на Олыме разнообразна: здесь водятся и хищники — щука, сом, налим, и стайные мирные рыбы — плотва, уклейка, жерех, язь и ёрш. Ловля по-настоящему живёт за счет этой разновидности — можно переключаться между активным поиском хищника и спокойным ужением мирной рыбы. Налим и сом добавляют в рыбалку особую интригу, а жерех и язь создают движение на поверхности. В общем, на Олыме есть из чего выбрать, и рыба здесь не дает заскучать.
