Река Дёма протянулась на 132 километра в Оренбургской области и впадает в реку Белая, входящую в бассейн Волги. Она течёт недалеко от Пономарёвки и Шарлыка, что делает её доступной для рыболовов из этих населённых пунктов. Дёма не слишком длинная, но достаточно крупная, чтобы охватить разнообразные участки с разной динамикой течения и глубинами.
