Река Кумылга протяжённостью почти 127 километров течёт в Волгоградской области и впадает в Хопёр — одну из главных рек бассейна Дона. Рядом с рекой расположен посёлок Кумылженская, всего в нескольких сотнях метров, что удобно для выезда на рыбалку. Здесь достаточно просторно, чтобы насладиться размеренной ловлей, а масштаб реки даёт возможность выбрать разные участки для подхода к воде.
На Кумылге встречаются разнообразные рыбы: от активной уклейки и плотвы до более крупных хищников вроде щуки и сома. Жерех и язь добавляют азарт, особенно в тёплое время года. Налим и ёрш встречаются в более прохладных местах. Рыбалка здесь — дело интересное и разноплановое: можно поохотиться на хорошо знакомых речных обитателей, используя традиционные снасти, и почувствовать характер местной реки.
